Jaguar launches the new XJ

The techiest big cat yet

Jaguar has experienced a life-audit of late, and ditched the old man design philosophy that appealed to the pony tailed middle-aged clientele during the 90s.

The new XJ shows the way of this ‘new’ Jaguar, and it’s decked out with more tech than a space shuttle. From the outside it’s a confident, tech-laden uber-chariot for those of us who shun the ponytail: the tail-lights seemingly drip down the flanks, and half of the roof is glass.

Then of course there’s its 275bhp turbo diesel engine, or choice of 5-litre petrol engines including a 510bhp supercharged V8. T3 got an exclusive opportunity to poke around the interior of this extraordinary car, and we think it’s the best of any currently on sale.

Looks like the big cat still has still got claws.
