LG Unveils First High End Dual Sim Phone

While LG tends to be at the cutting edge for most mobile phone related techno tomfoolery this is one area it was playing catch-up...

Finally focusing its considerable might in the direction of dual sim functionality the South Korean monolith has come up with the 'KS660' a supremely impressive first stab crammed with high end bells and whistles.

Most obviously, those sharing home and work mobiles will likely be chuffed to see the large 3in WQVGA (240 x 400) display and positively giddy to hear it is backed up by a 5MP camera with autofocus, flash and 720 x 480 video recording. An accelerometer should also help make navigation rather intuitive and the microSDHC expansion slot means the somewhat piffling 50MB of native memory won't prove a problem.

On the other hand there's a stylus (*screams*) meaning no capacitive touchscreen here and the lack of both 3G and WiFi is also troubling. If fast data access isn't important to you for some reason (call yourself progressive with your dual lines?!) then the 105 x 55 x 14.9mm dimensions and 115g weight could be a clincher. A Q1 2009 release date is mooted in Russia and the Far East for the KS660 and if it proves popular expect a Euro version to be knocked up faster than you can say:

"Shut up honey, I've got my idiot boss on the other line...

Honey? Hello Honey?

...Idiot Boss? Yes sir, it's me. I'll get my things."
