Hitachi DZ-BD10H Camcorder records on Blu-Ray, HDD and SDHC card

Hitachi has announced the successor to the DZ-BD9H camcorder, the DZ-BD10H is about 20% smaller than its predecessor with the similar functionality. To achieve the miniaturization a 30GB hard drive has been used instead of 60GB but the camcorder makes up for it by recording on SHDC cards. The DZ-BD10H is equipped with a 7 Megapixel CMOS sensor, 10X optical zoom lens, 2.7 inch screen, image stabilizer and a brand new technology which can recognize upto 5 face simultaneously and adjust the focusing, exposure etc for best image quality. The onboard 30GB hard drive can accommodate 4 hours 30 minutes of HD video, Blu-Ray takes an hour of recording and a 32GB SDHC card can record 4 hours 25 minutes of full HD video. The Hitachi DZ-BD10H goes on sale in Japan on August 9th for 160,000 Yen ($ 1600).
