Western Digital today released two new hard drives, the RE3 and the My Book Mirror Edition. The unique thing about the My Book Mirror Edition is that it comes with RAID 1 configuration, meaning the drive stores two copies of your data so that you can recover the data if something goes wrong. The mirroring functionality of RAID is simply awesome, its so reliable that if you work on critical data whose reliability is paramount then you gotta configure your drive with RAID 1 as it makes it easy to recover the lost data.
